Dorothy Flowe Kriney Hall, age 82, died on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at J. F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.
A native of Wilmington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Minnie Morgan Flowe. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bruce Kriney, who died in 1988, and two sisters, Betty Miller and Nancy Dunn. Dorothy graduated from Bethel High School as valedictorian for the class of 1944. She also received degrees in education and secretarial science from Women's College of Greensboro. She was employed for over 30 years with the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and was a former member of the Asheville Wurlitzer Organ Club.
She is survived by her husband of nine years, Billy F. Hall of Arden, two stepsons, Michael Thomas Hall of Jacksonville, FL and David K. Hall of Asheville; two stepdaughters, Susie Hooper of Mills River and Rebecca Dawn Hall of Anderson, SC.
A memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Jack Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
